My little Fairy

What's a girl to do when she is invited to a fairy party but she only has ballet skirts, princess skirts or pixie skirts but no fairy skirts to wear? Ask mumma to make one of course. This may look like a tutu but it isn't a tutu. It is a fairy skirt.

My lovely friend Bec told me how to make these months ago but I was yet to give it a try until last night when Lottie made the discovery that her overflowing dress up box was missing the all important fairy skirt for her friend Ruby's party this morning. Lucky I had bought the tulle ages ago and had just never gotten around to making it, so everything was ready to go and best of all it involves no sewing. That's right, no sewing at all, just snipping and knotting. All up it only took about 45 minutes and that was with quite a few interruptions.

If you like the hair bows, you can get them here. They are made by the lovely Tamara and are just the perfect addition to every outfit, including the fairy kind.

Oh Lottie looks gorgeous in her fairy skirt! Well done. I must say, I think the tights looks particularly special with the fairy skirt.

Oh your fairy is delightful - aren't hey the easiest of fairy skirts to make - I whipped up Amelia's last week and was impressed that it turned out so well without any sewing involved!

What a cute little fairy skirt. And the face painting is terrific too.
