kitty style

After seeing Stacy's lovely Halloween costumes in this weeks little vintage style I am kicking myself for not taking any pictures of Kitty's costume. It was a very last minute effort as I was planning on leaving her at home with mr big but we ended up all going. I am so glad we did as it was wonderful fun. There is an American couple in our suburb who go all out and not only decorate their house but open up scary rooms to all the trick or treaters. The whole block gets involved and so there were lots of houses to visit. There were even police directing the traffic! Halloween has never really been the done thing here in suburban Sydney but I have noticed it growing over the last few years and after the fun we had this year I am already planning more exciting costumes for next year.
Anyhoo kitty wore this outfit paired with a set of minnie mouse ears that a friend brought back last month from Disneyland. She looked adorable and was accompanied by William the skeleton and Lottie the wicked witch.

For Kitty style this week you get to see another one of our sweet vintage woollies. This dress is still a little big and I am sure she will get lots of wear out of it next winter but even now it is cuddly and sweet - just perfect for today's cool rainy weather.

I'll have to stop following, she makes me want to grab her out of the screen and give her a hug! Not in a bad scary way- she's just so cute! Someone knit my little one a similar dress, she couldn't carry it off so well though.

Oh how beautiful! I love knitted/crocheted clothing for children, something so loving and warm about them... just nice to wear on their soft skin :o)

You are much nicer than me, my kids kept asking to "do" Halloween but I kept saying no, meanest mother in the world apparently

I think this might be my favourite dress yet, your girl is just too gorgeous. Sounds like you had a fun Halloween too, I love that it is becoming bigger here with more houses decorating. I keep seeing a picture of a little girl on the Treasures Nappies here, and think she looks like Kitty http://shop.countdown.co.nz/Content/ProductImages/big/9414812064180.jpg

Such a sweet, sweet dress! It looks so pretty on her!

Her hair grows exactly like Avery's, just not quite as long yet. Every week, I think, "that looks just like Avery's hair!"

So sweet! It reminds me of a little dress that my grandmother crocheted for my mom when she was a baby, 70 years ago! I have picture of my daughter wearing it. Your little model is a doll!
