There is a whole gaggle of dresses amassing in Kitty's room waiting for their turn in Kitty style. Some of the summery ones may have to wait until next summer as Autumn is well and truly here. I had to squeeze in one last warm weather dress though as this one may not fit next year plus I need to share the fact that I finally had some good fortune thrifting. I picked this dress up a few weeks ago. It was marked $3.50 but it was 50% off day so it cost me the grand sum of $1.75! Oh how I love a good bargain.
This dress proves that sometimes the simplest is the sweetest of all. Apart from the tiny pale blue butterfly embroidery on the yoke and the little lace detail around the sleeves and hem it is really very plain. But those little details plus the gorgeous fabric are enough to make it pretty special. And I always love Kitty in white.

vintage dress - $1.75 from the local op-shop
Kitty's overflowing wardrobe has me thinking about what to do with all the sweet little things she has outgrown. I have a niece that I pass a lot of things on to but the truth is that my sister in law and I have very different styles. I can't imagine her wanting Kitty's old vintage things let alone cherishing them like I do. Some things I will of course be keeping. I will never let go of birthday dresses or items that hold special memories. But I do think most vintage should be worn and I love the idea of another mumma finding as much joy as I have in dressing their small kiddos in vintage style. So I am thinking of opening a little online shop, not sure where yet, but there will a link on my blog of course. Now I just need to come up with a name. I am thinking 'Kitty's carousel' or maybe 'kitty-go-round'. What do you think?

Great idea Ingrid - I think Kitty's Carousel is a great name - still has the implication of 'going around' but a cute vintagey ring to it.

She is pretty as a picture and as cute as a button and that little dress is completely lovely ♥
love the dress, so sweet. I like kitty's Carousel as a name too. Isabella has made me promise to keep the vintage small clothes for her in the future so I am busy packing Arlo's summer stuff away in the attic...and who knows we might yet have no.5

this dress is amazing and she looks so angelic. and, i spy that nautical dress! ;)
I like kitty-go-round best Ingrid, it's sweet and memorable and special just like all the pretty vintagey clothes you'll be selling.

I've got a huge pile of vintage clothes that I intend on putting in an Etsy shop one day. But just haven't gotten around to it... That would be great if you did it!
